Raquel Maestre is originally from Murcia, Spain. Even with such setbacks, she has made a place for herself in Montreal comedy with her deadpan commentary on life as a transgender immigrant and the hilariousness of these times of impending doom. Her debut solo show, Admiring Librarians, was nominated for Best English Comedy show at last year’s Montreal Fringe.
She has been featured on one of Spain’s best comedy festivals, Cruïlla, as well as Zoofest-OFFJFL and many other Montreal festivals. Raquel has performed in four languages in both Canada and Spain, created shows like A Very Pretentious Comedy Show and The Poly Mic, as well as the co-host of two podcasts: Throuples Therapy and My Head Hurts.
